German broadcasters mark 50th anniversary of 'Kölner Treff' and 20th of 'Große Maus‑Show

The West‑German public broadcaster WDR will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the long‑running talk show "Kölner Treff" on 18 September with a two‑hour live special hosted by Susan Link and Micky Beisenherz. The programme will feature guests such as Carolin Kebekus, Guido Maria Kretschmer, Jörg Pilawa, Motsi Mabuse, Tommi Schmitt and Senta Berger, followed by a documentary on the show’s five‑decade history and an archive‑driven segment that pits older viewers against members of Generation Z.

ProSieben entertainer Klaas Heufer‑Umlauf will appear on ARD’s "Große Maus‑Show" on 12 September, which marks the program’s 20th anniversary. Hosted by Esther Sedlaczek, the special includes Annette Frier, Wincent Weiss, Axel Prahl, Beatrice Egli and Till Reiners, as well as former child guests Laetitia Hahn and Jaden Eikermann. The show will again field unusual questions from children, answered by experts Siham El‑Maimouni, Ralph Caspers and Christoph Biemann. The previous edition attracted 2.65 million viewers, a 14.8 % market share among 14‑ to 49‑year‑olds.
