German broadcasters unveil new TV season line‑up
Amazon Prime Video announced the finale of the global series “Maxton Hall”. Public broadcasters ARD and ZDF revealed major programming for the coming months: ARD will air the final season of the historic drama “Babylon Berlin”, while ZDF plans a special “Wetten, dass..?” episode on Nikolausabend hosted by Bill and Tom Kaulitz.
Commercial networks also detailed their schedules. RTL will resume popular formats such as “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, “Bauer sucht Frau”, “Die Höhle der Löwen”, “Sing meinen Song – Das Tauschkonzert”, “Grill den Henssler”, “Ninja Warrior Germany”, “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus” and “Let’s Dance”. ProSieben, Sat.1 and Joyn will continue classics like “The Masked Singer”, “The Voice of Germany”, “The Voice Kids” and others. The series “Club der roten Bänder – Die neue Generation” returns with six episodes from 25 August on RTL+, Sky and Wow, and from 8 September on Vox. ARD’s six‑part series “Selling Sex” launches 25 August, portraying sex work. ZDF will broadcast the film “Eine Wingwoman verliebt sich nicht” on 30 August (available for streaming from 21 August).
