German castles offer themed historical tours in September

Various historical castle tours are scheduled for September at Heidelberg Castle and Hambach Castle in Germany.

At Heidelberg Castle, specialized tours include a fairy-tale themed walk for children aged six to ten on September 8, and a costume-led tour titled “Das Leben bei Hofe” on September 12, which explores court life through the perspectives of historical figures like maids and soldiers.

Hambach Castle will host several themed tours throughout the month. These include a dialect-based tour on September 13 focusing on the 1832 Hambach Festival, a tour regarding the role of winemakers and wine in the festival on September 19 and 26, and a session exploring the role of women during the festival on September 12.
