German charity drives collect €16,000 for children in need and military families
In Ravensburg, the first Ravensburger Weihnachtssingen attracted more than 1,800 attendees and raised €11,000. The proceeds were split equally between two local projects: the Kindernachsorge Ravensburg, which offers 12 weeks of multidisciplinary support to families with pre‑term or seriously ill children after hospital discharge, and the Sonja‑Reischmann‑Stiftung’s "Winterschuhe" programme that provides winter shoe vouchers to children from low‑income single‑parent families.
In Bad Reichenhall, the annual Stallweihnacht 2025 ceremony organized by the Deutsche Härtefallstiftung generated €5,000, which was handed over to the Sozialwerk der Gebirgstruppe. The funds will support psychosocial services, financial aid and leisure activities for members of the mountain‑troop brigade and their families. Both events were sponsored by local companies and benefitted from community participation.
Overall, these German charitable initiatives secured €16,000 to assist vulnerable children and military families.
