German cloud provider CMO pivots services as AI agents surge in Europe

CMO Internet Dienstleistungen GmbH announced it will discontinue its LUWO cloud solution and cease selling LS‑POS licences. The move follows low market uptake, with many customers opting to obtain licences directly from Luwosoft and integrating cash‑register software within the JTL‑Wawi system. CMO will concentrate on its WawiCloud 9.0 offering, custom cloud hosting, and tailored integration projects for LuwoSoft and point‑of‑sale systems.

In parallel, a wave of autonomous AI agents was unveiled across Europe and the MENA region. JetBrains launched its open agent platform, including JetBrains Air and the Junie CLI, for developers. Google introduced Gemini Spark, a persistent cloud‑based agent that works inside Google Workspace and connects to services such as Slack, Salesforce and Notion. Indian IT firm Mphasis presented the three‑layer Mphasis Tria stack for enterprise AI. ERP vendors Epicor and HCLTech released AI‑driven modules—Epicor’s Prism Agent processes tens of thousands of queries monthly, while HCLTech’s platform automates finance functions. These launches come as companies prepare for the EU AI Act, which sets regulatory requirements for high‑risk AI systems.
