German clubs add veteran players Kinsombi and Marweg to strengthen squads
FC Würzburger Kickers announced the signing of 30‑year‑old midfielder David Kinsombi. The former 2. Bundesliga regular, with 239 appearances and spells at clubs including Eintracht Frankfurt, Karlsruher SC and Hamburger SV, joins the team to provide experience and leadership for the young side.
Defender Sebastian Marweg moved from Germania Ober‑Roden to FV Eppertshausen in the Kreisoberliga Dieburg/Odenwald. After eleven years with Germania and a recent knee injury, the 31‑year‑old chose a two‑level drop to balance family commitments as he prepares to become a father. Marweg hopes his past cup‑winning performances will aid his new club.
Both transfers aim to bolster the respective clubs' competitiveness in the 2026 season.
