German clubs SV Unter‑Flockenbach and FV Budenheim ready for new season

SV Unter‑Flockenbach is focused on retaining its place in the Hessenliga after two previous near‑relegations. Coach Lukas Cambeis stresses the experience of ten players who were part of the 2025 campaign and a youthful, high‑pressing style. In recent friendlies the team held its own against Oberliga sides – a 1‑3 loss to Wormatia Worms, a 4‑4 draw with Mühlhausen and a 3‑5 defeat to Pirmasens – and secured a 4‑0 win over Landesliga club FV Brühl. New signing Nico Neukirch, a former U‑16 national, adds versatility to the back line.

FV Budenheim celebrates promotion to the Bezirksliga after a successful season. The squad was reinforced with six new players, including Tim Schimmer and Maximilian Degenhardt, and four youth talents from its own academy. The club opened its cup run with a 1‑0 victory over Fortuna Mombach, the decisive goal coming from Luis Wachsmuth following a Leon Brunnett assist. Budenheim now looks ahead to its first Bezirksliga fixtures and a second‑round cup match against SKC Barbaros Mainz.
