German cold‑case missing persons of Inga Gehricke and Erich E. remain unresolved

A five‑year‑old girl, Inga Gehricke, vanished on 2 May 2015 while playing at a family barbecue on the grounds of the Diakoniewerk Wilhelmshof near Stendal, Saxony‑Anhalt. Despite a large police search involving dogs, helicopters and volunteers, no trace was found. The case was revived by ZDF’s program “Aktenzeichen XY … Ungelöst” on 29 July, which appealed for new information that could finally solve the mystery.

Separately, 74‑year‑old Erich E. from Gilserberg has been missing since 9 March 2026. Police, search dogs, drones and numerous volunteers have been deployed without success. Notably, his dog returned home twelve days after the disappearance, well‑fed and unharmed, but the animal’s whereabouts during that time remain unknown. His family has renewed a public appeal, urging anyone with observations to contact the local police station.
