German communities celebrate local traditions and anniversaries

Several German communities are celebrating local traditions and milestones. In Burghaslach, the Hosler Kerwa festival is scheduled to take place from September 2 to September 8, 2026. Organized by the Hosler Brauch, the event features a beer festival, traditional spruce tree raising, rides, and a parade, centered around the town hall and church.

Meanwhile, the Bürgerverein 1896 Flieden-Schweben is celebrating its 130th anniversary. The association, which was founded in 1896, marked the occasion with a traditional baking house festival. The organization has a long history of community support, ranging from hosting entertainment evenings to assisting with local infrastructure, despite being dissolved during the National Socialist regime in 1940 before being re-established eight years later.
