German community organizations celebrate 100-year anniversaries

Several local organizations in Germany are preparing for significant centenary celebrations. The Evangelische Gemeindejugend Memmingen is marking its 100th anniversary, with members reflecting on a century of community impact through activities such as theater, camping trips, and youth group gatherings that have shaped generations.

In a separate milestone, the GTEV Eschenwald Rettenbach traditional costume club has secured official patronage from Traunstein Mayor Dr. Christian Hümmer for its upcoming 100-year anniversary. The club has planned a festival week from April 30 to May 6, 2027, which will include community events, a beer tapping ceremony, and a grand festival evening.
