German companies accelerate corporate fleet electrification
Companies in the Heilbronn-Franken region of Germany are increasingly transitioning their corporate fleets to electric vehicles to reduce costs and improve sustainability. Jörg Lauser, Managing Director of SL Fuhrparkmanagement, notes that electrification is progressing more rapidly within corporate fleets than among private individuals.
Among medium-sized enterprises, Volkswagen Group models account for approximately two-thirds of fleet vehicles. The electric VW ID. 7 is currently one of the most requested models, while Skoda remains a preferred choice for internal combustion engine vehicles. The shift is driven by both the rising costs of diesel and the corporate desire to reduce CO2 emissions.
