German consumer centers host free energy‑saving events in Bocholt and Leipzig

The Verbraucherzentrale NRW and the Klimakreis Borken are offering a free online lecture titled “Energetisch sanieren – vom Keller bis zum Dach” on 12 August 2026 at 18:00. Dr. Reinhard Loch will explain practical measures for retrofitting homes, discuss materials, costs and available subsidies, and answer participants’ questions.

On 11 August 2026, the Umweltinformationszentrum Leipzig and the Verbraucherzentrale Sachsen will hold a free, provider‑independent energy‑consultation session at the Technical Town Hall from 15:45 to 18:00. Attendees can also borrow electricity‑metering devices. The session will cover household energy saving, building thermal protection, renewable energy options, funding programmes and how to read electricity and heating bills.
