German consumer centers host sustainability lectures

German consumer advice centers are participating in the ‘German Sustainability Action Days’ by offering a series of free online lectures. These sessions aim to guide consumers on making more sustainable lifestyle choices that can also save money.

Topics include repairing items instead of buying new ones, extending the lifespan of mobile phones, and navigating sustainable financial investments. Michael Herte, board member of the Consumer Advice Center Schleswig-Holstein, noted that while sustainable living sounds simple, the abundance of advertising promises makes it difficult for consumers to identify truly effective options.
