German court hears key testimony in Gina H. murder trial of 8‑year‑old Fabian

In the Landgericht Rostock the prosecution’s murder case against Gina H. for the death of eight‑year‑old Fabian from Güstrow continued with a pivotal witness statement. Christian D., a hunter who had brought a thermal‑imaging camera, testified that on the night of 13 October he drove with Gina H. to a remote field near a pond at Klein Upahl. She repeatedly asked him to search for Fabian, guided him to the pond and, using a flashlight, indicated a dark object that turned out to be the child’s body. The witness said he saw nothing on the camera until she pointed it out and felt later used, questioning why he did not call police immediately.

The trial also highlighted extensive communication between the witness and the defendant, with more than 1,000 messages exchanged in the weeks before the discovery. Fabian’s mother, Dorina L., attended the hearing but left the courtroom when photographs of the corpse were shown. The prosecution alleges Gina H. killed Fabian on 10 October 2025 and attempted to conceal the crime.
