German Court Rejects Albanian's Residence Permit Extension
Germany's Administrative Court in Karlsruhe denied an emergency request from an Albanian citizen residing in Pforzheim to extend his stay and obtain a permanent residence permit. The applicant had submitted falsified documents – a purported integration course certificate and German language test – as evidence for his permanent residency application. He was previously fined for document falsification.
Despite later providing genuine certificates, immigration authorities maintained the order to remove him from Germany and threatened deportation to Albania. The applicant appealed, arguing family and professional integration, but the court upheld the immigration decision, emphasizing public interest in preventing document fraud and maintaining security and public order.
