German craft guilds release updated terms for B2B and B2C contracts

German woodworking and plastic-processing craft guilds have released fully revised General Terms and Conditions (AGB) specifically for guild-affiliated businesses. The updated terms provide distinct frameworks for two types of transactions: Business-to-Consumer (B2C) and Business-to-Business (B2B).

The new B2C version applies to services provided to individuals for private use, while the B2B version is designed for transactions with entrepreneurs and legal entities. These terms cover detailed service scopes, customer obligations, liability issues, damage claims limitations, and cancellation periods. To assist with legal implementation, the Fachverband Schreinerhandwerk Bayern (FSH Bayern) is providing downloadable information sheets and hosting online information sessions in September.
