German Craft Skills competition honors top young artisans

Young artisans across Germany are being recognized for excellence in the German Craft Skills competition, Europe’s largest vocational contest. In the Münster Chamber of Crafts district, 46 winners were honored for achieving first place in their respective professions.

Handwerkskammer Münster Vice President Josef Trendelkamp praised the winners for their skill, passion, and ambition, noting that their success also reflects the quality of their training companies. The competition involves more than 3,000 participants in over 130 trades, progressing from chamber levels to state and federal finals.

In a separate achievement within the Konstanz Chamber of Crafts district, apprentices from Josef Günthner GmbH & Co. KG were also recognized. Leon Held secured first place and Jannis Schellenberg earned third place in the roller shutter and sun protection mechatronics category. These winners represent the top tier of young professionals in their field following the completion of their dual vocational training.
