German crime series Stralsund rebroadcast on 3sat with hostage‑drama plot

The 2009 episode “Stralsund – Mörderische Verfolgung” from the ZDF crime series Stralsund was aired again on the public channel 3sat. The story follows a hostage situation at an insurance office where police chief Susanne Winkler is taken captive by Wolf Broder, who demands the release of his brother, a €2 million ransom and getaway vehicles.

The episode also notes the recent death of actor Alexander Held, who played chief detective Karl Hidde in the series. The repeat was promoted as part of the channel’s “Krimisommer” programming.
