German cyclists suffer serious injuries in two separate road accidents

A 63‑year‑old pedelec rider was thrown onto a Mercedes C‑Class on the L268 near Pfullendorf in the Ravensburg district, sustaining severe injuries. A rescue helicopter landed at the scene, the road was closed for about 45 minutes, and vehicle damages were estimated at €500 for the bike and €3,500 for the car.

In Breckerfeld, a cyclist collided with a parked car on Prioreier Straße/Ostring, also sustaining serious injuries. Emergency services called in a rescue helicopter, which landed at the intersection after an alternate site was arranged. The street was closed for the duration of the operation, and the patient was air‑lifted to a trauma clinic after initial treatment on site. Both incidents required extensive emergency response but resulted in no fatalities.
