Bavarian senior‑care training programs expand across districts

Local authorities in Bavaria are offering free training programs aimed at caregivers and seniors. In the Ebersberg district, the volunteer‑led Alltagsbegleiter course runs from 3 May to 24 May 2025, covering legal aspects of care, communication, and household support in both online and in‑person formats.

The Passau region will host the sixth Bavarian Dementia Week from 19 to 28 September 2025, featuring over 20 free events such as animal‑assisted outings, music therapy, creative workshops and a nature‑memory session, organized by the senior‑care office and the regional health authority.

A digital‑competence project in the Regensburg district continues into the third quarter of 2026, providing low‑threshold “question hours” in shopping centres across five municipalities. Seniors can receive hands‑on help with smartphones, tablets and related software. The programme is funded by the Bavarian Ministry for Family, Labour and Social Affairs.
