Xpeng P7+ electric sedan gains OTA update and mixed German reviews

The Chinese automaker Xpeng’s P7+ fastback electric sedan is being marketed in Germany as a lower‑priced alternative to premium German brands. Built by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria, the P7+ offers a 0.211 drag coefficient, a 530 km WLTP range, 230 kW (313 PS) power and 450 Nm torque, and an 800‑volt charging system that can raise the battery from 20 % to 80 % in about ten minutes. Reviewers note the minimalist interior and strong performance but point out that the driver‑assist suite needs further calibration. An over‑the‑air software update (XOS 5.9.5) now adds a split‑screen mode for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, expanded voice control, Google search in navigation, and upgrades to adaptive cruise, lane‑keep, high‑beam assistance, as well as improved battery‑thermal management and faster charging, including better compatibility with Tesla Superchargers.
