Germany sees surge in vocational training and career orientation initiatives
Various German organizations and educational institutions are actively engaging in vocational training and career orientation initiatives. Companies such as Multivac Group have welcomed over 70 new apprentices and dual students across several locations, including Wolfertschwenden, to various technical and commercial roles. Similarly, AOK Bayern has started training 275 new employees, with a high takeover rate of 94 percent.
Educational outreach is also prominent, with programs like BzB bringing companies directly into classrooms and schools participating in industrial tours to provide students with hands-on insights into modern production and diverse career paths. Initiatives like the ‘Offen für morgen’ project in Pforzheim allow students to experience professional environments firsthand during summer breaks.
In terms of workplace trends, the 2026 Great Employee Benefits Study by Epassi Deutschland indicates a disconnect between corporate offerings and employee needs. While 64 percent of German employers plan to increase benefit budgets for 2027, over half of employees report that current benefits do not align with their personal interests, particularly in areas like physical wellness.
