German emergency services conduct specialized firefighting exercises

Emergency services in Germany have conducted specialized training exercises to prepare for fire hazards and vegetation fires.

In Weeze, 17 members from the Alpen Volunteer Fire Department participated in an exercise organized by Westenergie AG. The training focused on firefighting techniques and managing electrical hazards using various real-brand scenarios.

In the Kranenburg area, the Kranenburg Volunteer Fire Department and the THW Kleve conducted a joint drill focused on water supply for vegetation fires. The exercise utilized a THW truck equipped with a 5,000-liter mobile water bladder designed for areas lacking hydrants. The effectiveness of this training was immediately tested when the units were called to respond to a real surface fire in the border region shortly after the drill concluded, where the mobile water supply was successfully deployed.
