German Employment Agencies Provide Pre‑Summer Apprenticeship Support in Coburg and Lübeck

On 25 June, the Federal Employment Agency in Bamberg‑Coburg hosted a free seminar titled “Fit for Your Interview” at its Coburg office. The session offered practical advice on job‑interview performance, résumé preparation, and included a complimentary application‑file check. Registration was required, and the event was organized together with a local employer and the agency’s career‑counselling service.

In Lübeck, the regional Employment Agency announced that more than 1,000 apprenticeship vacancies remain open across the city and surrounding district, covering trades such as electronics, hospitality, retail, construction and health care. Agency chief Markus Dusch urged young people to contact the counselling centre before the summer holidays, stressing that securing a training contract makes the break less stressful. Open‑door consultation hours are available on weekdays, with additional Thursday afternoon slots, and appointments can also be booked online.

Both initiatives aim to help German youths finalize apprenticeship placements before the summer vacation period, reducing uncertainty and facilitating entry into the labour market.
