German energy companies expand electric vehicle charging infrastructure

Energy providers in Germany are expanding their electric vehicle (EV) charging networks. In Wülfrath, Neander-Energie has commissioned a new HYC 50 fast-charging station at the town hall to increase public accessibility for residents and visitors. The company currently operates 44 public charging points across Wülfrath and Heiligenhaus.

Separately, Q1 Energie AG has reached a milestone with the activation of its 250th charging point. New high-power chargers, capable of up to 200 kW, have been installed at locations in Leinefelde and Bad Essen. These stations allow for 24-hour charging and integrate with existing service station shops. Q1 is also emphasizing flexible payment options, including direct credit or debit card payments at the stations and through various mobile apps.
