German equestrian team announced for Nations Cup final

The German equestrian team has secured its place for the Longines League of Nations final in Barcelona, scheduled for the first weekend of October. National coach Otto Becker has announced a lineup featuring three world champions, though some will compete with different horses than in previous competitions.

The planned roster for the October 4 event includes Marcus Ehning with Coolio, Sophie Hinners with Iron Dames My Prins, Jörne Sprehe with Toys, and Richard Vogel with Cloudio. Kendra Claricia Brinkop and Replay van’t Paradijs will travel to Barcelona as the reserve pair.

Germany has a strong recent record in this competition, having won the final in both 2023 and 2024, and securing third place last year. The tournament format involves two rounds, where teams start with four pairs in the first round but must reduce to three pairs for the second, making precision critical.
