German firms push forward EU Digital Product Pass

Echo PRM GmbH, a software provider from Oberallgäu, announced a partnership with Quanos Solutions GmbH to deliver an EU‑compliant Digital Product Pass (DPP) service. The collaboration builds on Echo PRM’s QR‑code and NFC‑based product documentation platform and Quanos’s new IQ‑Platform, aiming to help manufacturers integrate DPP data that is currently scattered across legacy IT systems.

At the same time, the GEMÜ Group, together with the IHK Heilbronn‑Franken and VDMA, hosted a workshop in Kupferzell that demonstrated how companies can start using the Digital Product Pass and industrial data spaces. Participants saw practical examples, including a bioreactor model supported by GEMÜ’s CONEXO asset‑management software, and discussed steps to create secure, cross‑company data exchange.

Both events highlight growing industry interest in standardising product information across the entire lifecycle as the EU finalises DPP requirements.
