German groups donate over €16,000 to support local children projects and free pool access
The Kindertageteam in Weimar raised €11,800 by operating a two‑week flea market at the Johanneskirche and allocated the funds to twelve child‑focused projects in the region. The organization, which has run the market for 33 years, channels donations exclusively to initiatives that work directly with children.
Separately, an anonymous donor contributed €5,000 to the town of Schwalmstadt, covering free entry for all children and teenagers aged 4 to 16 at the local outdoor swimming pool for the summer holidays. The donor said the aim was to encourage swimming, social interaction and outdoor activity among young residents.
Both initiatives were highlighted by local officials as positive community actions supporting children’s welfare and recreation.
