German groups push GDPR compliance with privacy notice and training

The Altenburgverein e.V. Bamberg Association announced that, in line with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), it processes member data electronically, stores it on protected cloud servers, and will obtain consent for any further data changes.

A separate initiative scheduled for 14 October 2026 offers a basic data‑protection training via web conference. The session, led by IT‑law specialist Dr. Jens Eckhardt, will cover GDPR fundamentals, legal precedents, related German laws, and emerging EU regulations such as the AI Act and Digital Services Act. It targets dialogue‑marketing companies and aims to certify participants for compliance audits.
