German Gymnasium Marktbreit and Max‑Klinger School Teams Win Major Academic Competitions

Students from Gymnasium Marktbreit qualified for the Bavarian Mathematics Olympiad state round held on 25 February 2026 at Julius‑Maximilian‑University Würzburg. Of the 24 regional qualifiers, the team earned a silver medal (Anton Renninger) and a bronze medal (Benjamin Henn), while half of all participants received awards.

The Max‑Klinger‑Schule team secured first place in the ExperiWatt MINT competition, outperforming peers from Leipzig and surrounding areas. Their project covered solar energy, wind power and other experimental stations at institutions such as HTWK Leipzig and the Max‑Planck Institute, showcasing strong research and teamwork.
