German Gymnastics Championships in Hannover Crown New Medalists

The German gymnastics championships were staged in Hannover, featuring senior and junior competitions. In the adult trampoline 17+ division, 15‑year‑old Emely Schmal secured the bronze medal with a flawless final routine scoring 50.9 points, her best result at a senior national event. She will attend a training camp in Georgia in August and is targeting the Youth World Championships later in the year.

Eighteen‑year‑old Silja Stöhr captured the all‑around gold after a decisive floor routine, earning her the national title and a place among the five athletes selected for the European Championships in Zagreb, Croatia. Coached by national team head Gerben Wiersma, Stöhr cited the 2025 European Games silver medal and the upcoming World Championships as steps toward her goal of competing at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
