German historical sites host seasonal cultural events

Various historical sites in Germany are hosting seasonal cultural events. In Burghausen, public themed tours are scheduled for September and October 2026 to explore the city's medieval history. One tour, titled ‘The Sword and the Word – Jurisdiction in the Middle Ages’, focuses on medieval legal systems and the roles of judges and executioners. Another tour, ‘Landsknechte, War Women and Cannons’, examines historical warfare, weaponry, and life within the castle fortifications.

Additionally, Burg Satzvey will host Halloween celebrations on October 24 and 31. The event includes a ‘Parcours des Schreckens’ (Course of Terror) through the castle park, designed for those with strong nerves, and an after-show party featuring a DJ. A specialized program for children up to age twelve will also be held during the afternoons.
