German Holocaust Remembrance Events Scheduled for Ravensbrück Liberation and Auschwitz Roma‑Sinti Anniversary

On May 2‑4 2025, the Lagergemeinschaft Ravensbrück/Freundeskreis e.V. will hold a series of commemorations in Grüneberg, Fürstenberg, Uckermark and nearby sites to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Ravensbrück concentration camp. The programme includes a memorial ceremony, the release of a bilingual brochure about former Polish prisoners, a silent remembrance at a cemetery, the unveiling of a new “political prisoners” memorial, and public outreach booths.
