German House‑building Technology Sector Forecasts Modest 2026 Revenue Growth
Industry data compiled by B+L Marktdaten GmbH for German trade associations project a nominal increase of 2.5 % in total sales of the house‑ and building‑technology sector in 2026, reaching €77.39 billion. Domestic turnover is expected to rise 2.1 % to €63.9 billion, while export contributes to the overall growth.
The sector remains under pressure from higher energy, raw‑material and material prices, which are expected to offset most of the nominal gain and keep real growth near stagnation. Weak non‑residential construction continues to weigh on the market, but positive drivers include a slight recovery in residential new‑build, increased renovation activity, and rising demand for heating‑system upgrades such as heat pumps and biomass boilers. Employment is projected to rise modestly to about 565,700 workers in 2026.
