German Judokas Win European Kata Gold and Bronze, Capture Southwest U15 Title

At the Kata European Championships in Sarajevo, the Hessen pairs of Andreas Freimuth and Eike Schmidt won the gold medal and the European title in the modern self‑defence kata, while Immo Schmidt and Hendrik Schmidt secured a bronze medal in Nage no Kata.

In the Southwest German Junior Championships, Karyna Vashechko of SV Blau‑Gelb Darmstadt defended her U15 –36 kg title with a gold medal, Nino Avaliani took third place, and Ihsan Aron Tuncay placed fifth in the –60 kg class. These results qualify the athletes for the upcoming German Individual Championships.
