German junior athletes clinch gold at European championships in dressage and swimming

The German U‑25 dressage team won the team gold at the European Championships in Pilisjászfalu, posting a total of 215.412 points. Riders Katharina Schuster, Pia‑Carlotta Gagel, Lucie‑Anouk Baumgürtel and Rose Oatley all placed among the top six, securing Germany’s tenth title in the discipline.

In Munich, swimmer Linda Roth captured the 200‑metre freestyle gold at the Junior European Championships, delivering the host nation’s first gold of the meet. Roth finished in 1:58 .xx, ahead of competitors from Russia and Italy. German Louis Hoffmann added a bronze in the 50‑metre breaststroke, and the team posted several other strong finals appearances.

Both victories underline a strong showing by Germany’s youth athletes across different sports at this year’s European junior events.
