German Junior Triathlon Championships in Lübeck Highlight Emerging Talent

The DTU‑Youth series reached its climax at the German Junior and Youth Triathlon Championships in Lübeck. Young athletes Tom Kaebel (born 2008) and Max Schedel represented TV 1848 Coburg in the junior and youth‑B classes, aiming to place among the nation’s best and attract selections for future international events.\n\nMoritz Hägel of IfL Hof secured a bronze medal in the junior men’s race, earning a qualification ticket for the European Championships in Elbląg, Poland. The competition also served as a determinant for upcoming nominations to the Junior European Championships and the Youth Olympic Games, to be finalized at the DTU‑Youth Cup in Jena on 27 June. Disruptions on the bike course forced the cancellation of the female youth‑A and junior‑women races, with final titles to be decided later.
