Goalkeeper Christian Früchtl signs for FC Red Bull Salzburg

German goalkeeper Christian Früchtl has completed a permanent transfer from Serie A side US Lecce to Austrian club FC Red Bull Salzburg. The three‑year contract runs until 2029, and Lecce will retain a percentage of any future resale value. Früchtl, a product of Bayern Munich’s youth system who has also played for Austria Wien and 1. FC Nürnberg, said he is "very happy that the positive talks have led to a positive conclusion and that I am now at FC Red Bull Salzburg" and pledged to give his best for the new team.

The club’s sporting director Marcus Mann described Früchtl as a "goalie with great training and a lot of experience" who will strengthen Salzburg’s young goalkeeper squad. The move marks Salzburg’s latest addition to its roster of emerging talents and provides Lecce with a modest immediate fee while keeping a stake in the player’s future value.
