German leisure facilities reopen after renovations

Several German leisure facilities are scheduled to reopen following maintenance and modernization periods.

Hallenbad HaWei in Weinheim will reopen on September 16, 2026, after several weeks of cleaning, maintenance, and upgrades. Improvements include a new reception desk, a redesigned bistro, and enhanced water filtration using an activated carbon layer. Physical upgrades also involved new tiling in the non-swimmer area and new toilet partitions in various changing rooms. To celebrate the reopening, the facility will offer early access, a tombola, and free water gymnastics sessions.

Thermalbad Aukammtal is set to reopen on September 21, 2026. The facility has undergone annual deep cleaning and extensive renovations, including a completely redesigned sauna area. The new sauna concept focuses on modernity and accessibility, featuring a cinema sauna, a tile stove sauna, and a redesigned ice fountain area. A new relaxation area with a pergola has also been added. The reopening will be marked by a themed ‘Oktoberfest’ sauna event on September 25.
