German Lions Clubs Boost Schools with Awards and Tablet Aid

The Lions Club Memmingen continued its annual "Leistung lohnt sich" programme, awarding cash prizes to the top graduates of middle schools in Memmingen, Memmingerberg and Amendingen. Recipients included Dino Spahic, Chiara Ilona Rebhan, Jasmin Vivienne Lanzl, Burhan Hiseinoski, Kimberley Schmidhuber, Susanne Kawen, Elen Grigorjan, Alisa Zhar and Sabrina Bekker. The project aims to highlight academic effort and motivate students to pursue their goals with perseverance.

Separately, the Lions Club Waldkirch‑Elztal supported local education during the COVID‑19 pandemic by providing tablets to schools in the Elzach area. The club, founded in 1986, also references its broader charitable activities, including the national "Lions Quest" programme and international blindness‑prevention efforts.
