German local politicians honored for long-term community service

Local political figures in Germany are being honored for their long-standing community service. In Mannheim, the FDP/MfM faction held a reception to celebrate the 50th birthday of City Councilor Volker Beisel. Beisel has been a member of the city council for 23 years, focusing on urban development, housing, environment, and security. In lieu of gifts, Beisel requested donations for the Mannheim Youth Fire Department.

In Gelnhausen, former Vice Mayor and honorary city councilor Hubert Müller celebrated his 85th birthday. Mayor Christian Litzinger recognized Müller for his significant impact on the region, specifically citing his role in the renovation of the old town and the establishment of the Main-Kinzig-Kliniken. Müller is noted for his ability to build consensus and his long-term influence on the Main-Kinzig district.
