German Lotto 6aus49 Jackpot Reaches Record €101 Million, Still Unclaimed
The German Lotto 6aus49 jackpot has grown to a total of €101 million, the highest ever in the game’s 70‑year history. Because of a statutory cap, only up to €50 million can be awarded in a single draw for six correct numbers plus the Superzahl. The jackpot has remained unclaimed for 34 consecutive draws, with the previous record of €48.3 million set in early 2024.
Lottery coordinator Jan Riedesel explained that if the jackpot is won at the upcoming Saturday draw on 25 July 2026, another €50 million will be added to the pool for the following Wednesday draw. He added, “We would be glad if the jackpot could be paid out now, because we are happy for whoever wins.” The current sum is described as a once‑in‑German‑lottery‑history occurrence.
Recent changes to the gambling law mean the jackpot will no longer be forced out after reaching a certain threshold; instead, it stays in the pool until a player matches all six numbers and the Superzahl. This has kept the prize at its maximum level, maintaining strong public interest as millions of Germans continue to buy tickets each week.
