German manufacturers launch new lithium battery solutions

German technology companies are introducing new battery solutions tailored for mobile living and residential solar energy use.

BOS Balance of Storage Systems AG has announced the BOS battery X, a lithium battery specifically designed for campers. Utilizing cylindrical LiFePO4 cells, the system is engineered for mechanical stability and vibration resistance. A key feature is its internal heating mechanism, which directs heat through welding contacts directly into the cell core to allow for efficient charging in temperatures as low as −20 °C.

In the residential sector, OneHo has launched the Solar Arc P2700 Pro and P2700 Pro AC plug-in batteries. Designed for both new and existing photovoltaic (PV) installations, the system features four independent MPPTs to optimize energy capture from modules with different orientations. The series offers scalable storage capacities ranging from 2.6 to 15.6 kWh, aiming to increase self-consumption of solar power for households.
