German medical centers implement new care and training models
In Germany, medical institutions are implementing new models for care and education. The Medical Center Lübbenau (MZL) plans to expand into a primary care center, integrating medical services with prevention, health consulting, and digitalization. The MZL aims to collaborate closely with the Medical University of Lausitz – Carl Thiem to support medical students and professionals from their education through to local employment, addressing regional specialist shortages.
Separately, Unimedizin Mainz has launched a pilot project featuring an interdisciplinary training station.
