A significant share of emigrants cite dissatisfaction with conditions in Germany, including political and economic developments, high taxes and social contributions, increasing bureaucracy and rising living costs. Spain is perceived as a stable, familiar European location that offers a more relaxed environment for remote‑working entrepreneurs, freelancers and home‑office employees.
