Germany hosts diverse motorsport and cycling events
Various motorsport and cycling events are taking place across Germany. The NitrOlympX drag racing event is scheduled for August 21–23, 2026, at the Hockenheimring. This 39th edition features over 250 teams competing in nearly 20 racing classes for the FIA and FIM European Championships. A major highlight is the comeback of three-time FIA Top Methanol European Champion Timo Habermann.
In karting, Daniel Stell secured second place at the ADAC Kart Masters at the Erftlandring in Kerpen after winning two heats and setting the fastest lap in the KZ2 category.
In GT racing, the ADAC GT4 Germany series moves to the Nürburgring for the second half of the season from August 14–16. The championship remains highly competitive with five different brands in the top six of the overall standings.
In cycling, the 29th ADAC Cyclassics in Hamburg is approaching. Former winner André Greipel noted that modern sprinters must be more resilient to climbs like the Waseberg, which will be tackled five times during the 205.3-kilometer race.
