German municipalities host autumn literary reading series
Several German municipalities are hosting literary events this autumn. In Mering, the local library is launching a series of readings including the “Mörderisches Mering” event on October 14. This session features crime authors Yvette Eckstein and Katharina Lukas, who will discuss their respective works involving Hohenzollern Castle and a haunted farmstead. Additionally, travel writer Max Baudrexl is scheduled to present his experiences hiking through Norway on November 3.
In Neunkirchen, the “Neunkirchen liest” festival returns this October. Organized by local figures including Klaus Becker and Anke Birk, the initiative aims to provide low-threshold access to literature by hosting readings at various locations throughout the city. This year’s program focuses on mysterious themes, continuing a tradition of themed literary gatherings that has been running since 2017.
