German municipalities invest in childcare infrastructure
Local municipalities in Germany are implementing various projects to improve and expand childcare infrastructure.
In Hohenbrunn, the community has approved a 660,000 Euro renovation of the ‘Haus des Kindes’ facility in Riemerling-Ost. The project, managed internally by municipal technical services without an external architectural firm, aims to modernize sanitary facilities, install a gastro-kitchen, and replace flooring and terrace doors. During the estimated twelve-week construction period, children will be relocated to the Waldhort Outback facility.
In Weiskirchen, the expansion of the Kita Regenbogen nursery has been officially inaugurated. The project, co-funded by the state, district, and municipality, adds 22 new nursery places to address childcare needs identified by the district youth welfare office in the Hochwald region.
