German municipalities offer autumn holiday childcare programs

Municipalities in Germany are offering various childcare and holiday programs for the upcoming autumn break.

In Barsinghausen, the Youth Welfare Office is organizing a holiday trip for children aged 8 to 14 at the Eisenberg holiday village in Kirchheim from October 12 to 17. The program includes outdoor activities, sports, and creative workshops. Currently, eight spots remain available for the trip, which costs 250 euros per person.

In Haren (Ems), childcare services will be available for students in grades 1 to 6 at the Ansgarischule Haren during the two-week autumn break in October 2026. Parents can choose between morning sessions or full-day care including lunch. Registration must be completed online by September 20, 2026, with hourly rates starting at 2.00 euros, or 1.00 euro for siblings and families receiving social benefits.
