German museums add historic artifacts to digital collection
The Museum Gotisches Haus in Bad Homburg, Hesse, has digitized a bronze honor plaque from 1954‑55 that depicts Landgrave Friedrich II welcoming Huguenots and Waldensians, with the town’s coat of arms and the artist’s signature. The plaque measures 11.8 cm in diameter and is available under a Creative Commons licence.
The Braunschweigische Landschaft in Lower Saxony has added a gelatin‑silver photograph by Christa Zeißig, commissioned around the turn of the millennium, showing a youth marching band with a flag on the Groß Elbe. The image measures 24.5 × 37.5 cm and is also released for non‑commercial use under a CC licence.
